Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic (Wake County, N.C.) Adds Scott Jernigan and Brian Wilder as New Board Members

Raleigh, NC (February 17, 2010) -- The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, one of the nation's premier celebrity golf events, is proud to announce it has added four new board members. The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic Board of Directors, Division Managers, and volunteers are the backbone of the Jimmy V Week events (August 14th -22nd) which raises funds for cancer research through The V Foundation. These four members include Scott Jernigan and Brian Wilder with Premiere Global Sports as well as Bob Rauf of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Gary Cohen from Lenovo Global Sales.

"Each new member brings a wide variety of expertise to our organization and we believe they will offer valuable input and contributions that will continue to make the Golf Classic one of the nation's elite fund raisers."

Scott Jernigan and Brian Wilder serve as Executive Vice Presidents of Premiere Global Sports, the largest provider of ticket, travel and hospitality services to sporting events in the country which provides first-class sports travel experiences to events such as The Masters, Kentucky Derby, Super Bowl, World Series, and NACAR events such as the Daytona 500. Jernigan's current responsibilities include directly overseeing their ticket division, Gotickets.com, staff management as well as working in sales and strategic planning for all of the Premiere Global Sports divisions. Wilder manages the Consumer division of Premiere Global Sports, Premiere Sports Travel, where he oversees company's wide activation for all events. He is also part of the management team for Premiere Global Sports and is involved in business development across all divisions of the company.

Bob Rauf has been a financial services expert for 24 years. As a wealth management advisor at Northwestern Mutual, Rauf's professional credentials and accomplishments include MDRT, Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65. Mr. Rauf has written several articles on retirement income and estate planning for such publications as CFP Magazine, The Journal for Financial Advisors, Advisor Today and Financial Planning.

Gary Cohen has held senior positions in the Consulting, Telecommunications and IT industries his entire career. Cohen is currently the Managing Director in the Lenovo Global Sales Organization and is responsible for all aspects of the Lenovo / IBM relationship. This includes direct sales to IBM, and sales delivered jointly through the Lenovo / IBM Sales & Services Alliance.

The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic's mission is to create, develop, and sustain a fundraiser of national proportion and reputation that embodies the spirit and energy of Jim Valvano. The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic's Board of Directors, which is now comprised of twelve men and women from the local community, plays an integral role in creating illustrious events year in and year out. Each new member is hand selected by the current board members and the selection is based on outstanding community involvement and relationships.
